"We like to move it (move it)..."

It's official! We have moved!!

I would post some pictures of our new place but we're still getting acquainted (or should I say trying to get less acquainted) with our moving boxes... and needless to say... our house merely on its way to becoming a home! But we both definitely love it here already! The weather is always sunny and warm (though I'm sure I'll be cursing it in the next couple of months) and it is so nice to have family around!

In the midst of our intense packing... one very special event I forgot to mention was our adventure to Cirque du Soleil's ALEGRIA! with the Toblers! It was an incredible show and cameras were not allowed in so this was the only picture we have to remember the evening. We're showing our tickets because that's the only proof that we weren't just taking this picture for kicks outside of any building on campus...

Anyway, until next time!

Tacos don Rafa!!

BEST TACO STAND IN THE WORLD.

Seriously.

BEST.

EVER.

If you go to Salt Lake City, you MUST go here!

It's on the corner of State St. and 800 South. Park in the old Sear's parking lot, and make sure you go to the stand that is on STATE ST not the one on 800 (there are two on that corner and you have to pick the right one!). Tacos are two for $1.50 and burritos are $3.00. Just go, you won't be disappointed.

The face of pure joy.

Yes, my mouth is full... but check out Nick's cheeser!
Shockingly, he hasn't been practicing that!

Yummy!!!

The Sunshine State

On Monday our close friends Kylie and Ricardo Fontoura drove off to Florida. This summer, Kylie starts school at Nova, in Ft. Lauderdale (lucky kids!), and soon Ricardo will be starting dental school. Fortunately, this wasn't so much of a "good bye" as it was a "see you later!" And, since my photography skills are somewhat akin to Ansel Adams (or so I've been told... haha), I thought I'd share with you my shots of this temporary farewell event.

Kylie and Ricardo were great sports for letting me take so many pictures. I hope you two enjoy!

Salt Lake City, UT - May 17th, 2010

Good luck you two! See you later!

MOAB!

Yay for pictures!!! We finally took some!

This past weekend Nick and I went to Moab with our dear friends Carrie and Andrew! While there... we met up with our other dear friends Jocelyn and Andrew, and I must say we had the TIME OF OUR LIVES!!!

We hiked, cliff-jumped (okay... the BOYS did.. not all of us), ate, star-gazed, rafted down the Colorado river and basically... you should be jealous!

And now to show you the weekend!

Moab, UT - May 14-16th, 2010

Our luxurious log cabin. Hahaha, I almost said "luxurious" with a straight face.

"Sad-face" Andrew. Apparently he's an even lighter sleeper than I am! Poor guy!

The girls! (please ignore the fact that I'm cheesing it up... it must have been really bright...)

At the ever-so-famous Delicate Arch!

Left Hand a.k.a. the local's hang out where you can literally witness people risk their lives jumping off 40 ft ledges into about 6 or 7 ft of water!

Freezing at Dead Horse Point and ready to see some stars! My only goal was to see a shooting star and I'm proud to say that I witnessed TWO!

Carrie taught me how to paddle in the most difficult paddle boat that was ever inflated!

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream!

In the meantime... ENJOY LIFE EVERYBODY! I KNOW WE ARE!!

P.S. Happy Mother's Day all you mom's out there! (and future-moms-to-be!)

These are some of the pictures my camera was able to snap. Just thought I'd share them with you as proof that the impossible is possible! Thanks you all for your support and love these past four (if not more...) years!

Tribute to Nicholas!

Okay, so I can't tell you how shocked I am that I'm actually posting twice in one day!! But I can't let this go unrecognized one more day! One of the most wonderful friends I could wish for made a BEAUTIFUL POST in regards to Nick's Christmas program performance with MoTab. We all had a wonderful time and basically, you should just check it out. He was wonderful (as was the program) and couldn't be more thrilled with her kind words. Thanks Carrie!!

One picture I was able to snap of him on stage
(sorry for the BLUR!!)

The proud wife and her honey after the show!!

Awh, love him!

Born Performers...

As you may know, my dearest Nicholas has been in Detroit this week for the Sphinx Competition, so I decided to spend some time reminiscing about what life is like with Nick around! I've scrolled through my many many pictures and even a few videos, and I came across this one and truly just felt that it simply NEEDED to be shared. We were at Nick's parents lovely home for Christmas, experimenting with some true gems, and what's that I hear about hiding your candle under a bushel? Don't do it? Okay!!

So here it is, one time only, the new Villalobos candle, on a stick, lit and ready for the masses! Please do not judge, our goal was to have a good time. And I mean, come ON! With a little practice we might actually hit the right notes someday! Yay!

Now grab the popcorn and enjoy our very own rendition of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's infamous... uh, something-or-other!

Love, US!

Round Two!!

Alrighty, well... we're back in school and back to having CRAZY fun! On Martin Luther King Jr. day Nick and I ventured up to Sandy to visit The Living Planet Aquarium!! Little did we know, EVERYONE and their mom had our same idea, but we still had a great time! The kids were fun to watch, and it gave us an opportunity to fit in!! We learned tons about octopi and I must say I'm very impressed with their skills. Did you know that they are color blind, but that they can sense their scenery and change their surface to any color AND TEXTURE to camouflage? Or that they can take down a shark EASILY? Or that their bodies are completely squishy except for a beak, and they can squeeze through any tiny whole as long as their beak can fit through it?OR that they are really smart? Octopi can solve puzzles and have a tendency to escape from their tanks because they're so clever!

Let's just say, I had no idea...

One of our other favorite parts was the touching of the sting rays and as you can see below we had GREAT SUCCESS! Nick also had a great time practicing his "Nat Geo" photography skills. And for those of you who don't know... "Nat Geo" is short for National Geographic. So even if you are a master of all things octopi, I hope you learned that little fact...

Then again, odds are if you're an octopus guru, you probably learned at least some of it on Nat Geo. So... bravo to you!

Anyway, enjoy our pictures!!

HELLO!!!

Being that today is officially our FIVE MONTH anniversary, I figured now would be a great time to really get this blog going! I definitely have a lot to catch up on from the last five months, and my goal is to have you fully informed by VALENTINE'S DAY (aka our SIXTH month anniversary)! Good goal, huh? I thought so too... we'll see how it goes!

Well, I guess I better start with the wonders of today. Nick and I celebrated the five blissful months with a wonderful Siagon Noodle House (amazing Chinese food) spread and some hysterical Gilmore Girl's episodes (thank you Jocelyn). It is freezing outside, so we cranked up the heat (for me) and now the "Lebrons" are playing the Utah Jazz, so, yeah, you could say it has been a splendid evening!

Anyway, since everyone loves PICTURES, I might as well get on with sharing some of the highlights from this last little bit. I plan to dedicate an entire post to the reminiscing of our wedding, so you'll have have to wait in anticipation for that special day. In the mean time, here is what we have been up to lately!! And what better to recap than CHRISTMAS BREAK!!?!!

Christmas 2009 - Chandler, Arizona

On Christmas Eve we all went to the
Mesa Temple to see the lights!

.......................

Santa brought us the ever-dangerous
MARSHMALLOW SHOOTERS!

Everyone gathered at Jack and Annie's for
Christmas Day celebrations!

.......................

On December 30th, 2009 we officially bought
our very own new (to us) car!!

.......................

and that's all for today!!
